I’m really pleased to say that my local library service Fife Libraries have accepted a copy of the Perfect Circle short story anthology, which includes my ghost story ‘Triptych’! So if you’re a Fifer, you can now read it with your library card. It’ll be shelved in the Kirkcaldy library and is available to request across Fife.
If you’re local, you’ll know that Kirkcaldy’s library is housed in a rather impressive art gallery with lots of excellent paintings on display and a regular programme of exciting and notable exhibitions. ‘Triptych’ is a ghost story about an artist who depicts the strange landscapes of the Scottish Highlands in her paintings, so it’s especially nice to think of the book being shelved there.
(Also, I still secretly think that libraries are where books actually live, the way flocks of birds gather at night to roost in the trees. I could not be more delighted about my story being in a book in the library.)
